What and Why It Happened?
Urbanization caused long-term changes to the government and society in the late 18th century and the early 19th century.Urbanization is when any urban area begins to expand and evolve at a rapid rate. Human's tend to ubanize themselves from time to time within a specific course in history. In this case, Britain had urbanized itself rapidly by the evolution of machinery, which eventually replaced manpower. Machinery allowed producers to provide consumers with better manufacture goods, with lower production pricing and at a quicker rate. With more jobs to offer, many farmers moved to the city allowing other ways of production regarding agriculture, which gave people accessibility towards a more equal pay for everyone.
With the growth of population, there were more industries to find work for. Thus, creating ‘hotspots’ for endless opportunities for people.
Urbanization had it pros and its cons, it introduced more advantages and more disadvantages that humanity has to face with, such as child labor or disease. With a larger number of immigration from rural area’s to urban areas, there was unexpected increase in the cities population.
